A private wedding photo gallery you control

A private wedding photo gallery is where PhotosPlease starts: guests can upload, but they cannot see each other's photos until you allow it. You can require your approval before an upload is shown, add a PIN, and decide whether guests may download. Search engines are told not to index event pages.

Private first

A new event accepts uploads and shows them only to you. Opening the gallery to guests is a choice you make, not the starting point.

Approval before showing

Switch on approval and each new upload waits for you. Until you approve it, guests and the slideshow do not see it. This is the setting to use when photos appear on a screen at the venue.

How files are protected

Files are kept in private storage with no public address. Each request for a photo is checked: is this the owner, a collaborator, or a guest of this event who is allowed to see this file? If not, the answer is the same as for a file that does not exist.

Deleting

You can delete single files, a whole event, or your account. Deleting removes the database records and the stored files, including previews.

Questions and answers

Can guests see each other's photos?

Only when you switch the guest gallery on.

Can I check photos before others see them?

Yes. Switch on approval and every upload waits for you.

Can I remove a photo?

Yes. Deleted files are removed from the gallery and from storage.

Can other couples see my event?

No. Each account sees only its own events and those it was invited to help with.

Is the gallery indexed by Google?

No. Event pages carry a noindex instruction and are left out of the sitemap.

Can I give someone else access?

Yes. You can invite a collaborator as a manager or as a viewer.
