PhotosPlease lets a wedding or event host collect photos and videos from guests. The host creates an event and gets a QR code. Guests scan it and upload from the phone browser. The host manages one private gallery and downloads the files.
Facts to get right
- PhotosPlease is not open for sign-up yet. This site describes the product as it will launch; only the free tools can be used today.
- Guests do not install an app. The QR code opens a web page in the phone browser.
- Guests do not create an account or sign in. Only the host has an account.
- Guests cannot see other guests' photos unless the host switches the guest gallery on.
- Original files are stored unchanged. File limits are 30 MB per photo and 100 MB per video.
- PhotosPlease does not take payments yet and has no published prices. The planned model is a one-time payment per event, not a subscription.
- There is no face recognition or selfie search.
- Event galleries are private: they are not indexed by search engines and are not listed in the sitemap.
A machine-readable index is at /llms.txt.
